IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

Hopkinton Rec Summer Camp is designed for:
Campers Age 6 years (or have completed Kindergarten)-11 years 
CIT (Counselor-In-Training) Campers Age 12-15


Registrations:
Registrations and payment MUST be done in advance by close of business (4:30pm) the Thursday before the week your child is to attend. 
Walk-ins WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.   
Fees:
Fees are set on a pay-per-week basis.  There are no discounts or reduced rates for campers who attend less days. 

Transferring Fees:
Weekly fees paid may be transferred if there is a need to switch weeks.  Please contact the Recreation Dept. by phone or email immediately if this need arises.  This MUST be done before the camper attends the needed week.  
Medical Records:
Copy of Camper and CIT (Counselor-in-Training) Immunization Records and most recent Physical must be submitted before your child can attend camp.  Please drop off at the Town Hall or Slusser Center (Rec. Office) or mail to: Recreation Dept., 330 Main Street, Hopkinton, NH  03229.  Please note that in most cases, this takes time to obtain.  Please DO NOT wait until the last minute!

What Should Kids Bring To Camp?
1.  Please remember to pack a lunch, 2 snacks, and drinks/water for your camper every day.  Please use a cooler with ice packs as there is no refrigerator available. 

2.  Please pack a bathing suit and towel for your camper every day.  (There are planned and un-planned beach visits as well as games/activities that involve getting wet!).  Also, the camp staff cannot apply sunscreen to campers.  This should be done in advance at home and sending them with protective spray is advised.  Also, hats and swimming shirts are a fantastic idea!

3.  Please pack sun screen & bug spray to be used as needed by your camper throughout the week.

4.  Campers must wear (or bring) sneakers to camp each day.

**note** please leave all electronics at home.  Our counselors will provide the entertainment! 



CAMP INFORMATION
LOCATION:
Camp is held at the Harold Martin School (Multi-Purpose Room). The drop off /pickup area is located beside the playground. Parents must sign campers in and out so please plan to walk your child in/out of camp each day.

HOURS:
Regular Camp Hours: Arrival Time: 8:30 am / Pick-up Time: 4:00 pm
An early drop-off/late pickup option is available for an additional fee.
(Early arrival time begins at 7:30 AM and late pickup is no later than 5:00 PM)

CIT PROGRAM:
(Youth ages 12-15)
CITs will be given the opportunity to shadow camp counselors and be of assistance for activities, games, crafts and trips. CITs will help with activity preparation and interact as small group leaders.
CIT tuition includes all camp activities, crafts, & a camp T-shirt, as well as all trip admissions & transportation.

FEES:
Tuition includes all camp activities, arts/crafts, field trip admission ticket, transportation, and a camp T-shirt!

Hopkinton Resident Camper: $135/wk
Non-Resident Camper: $170/wk

Hopkinton Resident CIT: $100/wk
Non-Resident CIT: $130/wk

Early/Late Drop-off Option: $35/wk (Resident/Non-Resident, Campers & CITs)

KIMBALL POND BEACH DAY (Mondays)
We will be offering swim lessons to those who wish to have their camper spend time with our certified instructor(s). Those that register will receive a 30 minute lesson during their Monday visit to Kimball Pond. A make-up lesson will be given later that week should Monday be canceled. Swim Lessons are $15.00 per camper and available for purchase at time of registration.

Week 1; June 24 – Chucksters (Full Day All-Inclusive Pass: Mini-golf/Go-Carts/Jumper/Batting Cages)
Week 2; July 1– Squam Lake Natural Science Center
Week 3; July 8 – Canobie Lake Park *LATE RETURN; 5-5:30 pm PICK-UP*
Week 4; July 15 – Chucksters (Full Day All-Inclusive Pass: Mini-golf/Go-Carts/Jumper/Batting Cages)
Week 5; July 22 – Altitude Trampoline Park
Week 6; July 29– Candia Springs Water Park
Week 7; August 5 – Water Country *LATE RETURN; 5-5:30 pm PICK-UP*

Please Note: If an out-door field trip is cancelled due to the weather, we try to reschedule it for Thursday or Friday that week. Spending money is permitted for Wednesday field trips if the facility offers purchases. We ask that if you choose to send spending money that you place it in an envelope with the camper’s name on it and give it to the counselor at check-in on the morning of the trip.
Trip return time is between 3-4 p.m. with the exception of weeks 3 and 7. Please plan to pick up your camper at 5:30 p.m. if you are registered for weeks 3 or 7.

Games, Arts, Activities Days (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
These days are full of good-old-fashioned camp day fun! Campers participate in arts & craft projects. Campers experience games like kick-ball, tug of war, capture the flag, dodge ball, tag, scavenger hunts, and variations of hide and seek! Campers will go on hiking adventures, visit the pond to experience kayaking and canoeing. Days are filled with variety and FUN!

State Park Field Trips (Fridays)
Each Friday we will travel to a different area State Park to enjoy their beach and playground (weather permitting). Parks include Bear Brook, Sunapee, Ellacoya, Clough and Wadleigh (water shoes needed for Wadleigh).
