Beginner Fly Tying
Come join Trout Unlimited as they teach us the basics of fly tying! We will learn thread handling, hook choice, and tool familiarity. Then, we will utilize 4 patterns to demonstrate several basic tying skills, such as wrapping bodies, applying tail material, palmering hackles, dubbing bodies and applying hair wings. Over the course of the 2 sessions, we will progress in learning the various techniques. This is a careful, slow pace with much hands-on assistance during the learning process.
