National Inventors Hall of Fame, with a mission of inspiring invention, creativity and innovation is bringing Camp Invention to Hopkinton this summer! They offer a confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships. Led by qualified local educators, their camps offer new and exciting hands-on experiences every year with over 1,000 camp programs that run nationwide in schools, community centers and other local facilities.

Week 1 (Aug 4-8): Discover (full description in flier below)
INNOVATION  
Your camper will unleash the power of the claw as they make their own mechanical claw machine complete with unique prizes that they create! They’ll discover hands-on physics, explore animals with claws and become an entrepreneur.
 
CREATIVITY  
Embracing their curiosity, your camper will uncover the science behind optical illusions in art, movies, attractions, theater and animation. They’ll design and test various illusions and invent their own moving props to become a special effects expert!
 
PROBLEM SOLVING  
Your camper will rev up for the ultimate road trip complete with their own transmitter and receiver, custom dashboard and travel map! As an innovative traveler, they’ll choose their own path and invent their way out of bumps in the road.
 
PERSISTENCE  
Embarking on an eco-expedition, your camper will investigate penguins and the ice and snow of Antarctica. With their imagination and the help of a robotic assistant, they’ll develop penguin and planet-saving prototypes! 
 



Week 2 (Aug 11-15): Wonder (full description in flier below)
PROBLEM SOLVING  
Campers explore physics, design engineering and art as they build their own mini skate park, create DIY riders, personalize their mini skateboards and try out challenging features like ramps, bowls, jumps and rails.
 
CREATIVITY  
To create an epic celebration, campers become event planners who engineer light-up party hats, use the science of color to create a bubble art banner and invent a Party Assistant to help bring their plans to life.
 
PERSISTENCE  
Campers transform their own robot into a one-of-a-kind animatronic stuffie, and then use inspiration from nature and the power of intellectual property to protect their creation from an idea-stealing Copy Cat.
 
ENTREPRENEURSHIP  
Ideas pop up as campers launch their own pop-up business, make smart financial decisions, and use entrepreneurship skills and creative strategies to attract customers with the ultimate pop-up event.
